An important update from Stephanie and Aran

We’re grateful that so many people are excited about this space and its potential. We’re excited too! We have a lot of plans for its future and ways to support the community.

However, co-founder Stephanie was just diagnosed with breast cancer. She will start chemotherapy in a few days and has been told her diagnosis is very treatable and curable, though the road ahead will be tough.

We know many of you rely on this store, and our priority is to keep The Creative Reuse running and maintain our posted hours.

To do this during this challenging time, please help us in a few ways:

• Check the material acceptance page on our website before bringing anything in. We will pause drop-offs when we need time to sort, so please respect those pauses and help us avoid overload.

• We are putting any additional expansion ideas on hold, such as classes, co-working, or collaborations, while Stephanie goes through treatment. Please hold off on bringing us new ideas, suggestions, or collaboration requests for now.

• Check our hours before planning a visit. We expect this to be rare, but if we cannot be open during our regular hours, here are some places we might post a closed for the day announcement: our ​Visit​ page on our website, on our ​Google Business Profile​, ​on our Instagram​ and on our door.

These asks will help lighten our mental load so we can focus on staying open during business hours and making all these treasures available to you as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your understanding and are excited to see how people continue to connect with each other and share ideas in this space.
